A presentation was made to the KIA Board on the upcoming development to be situated on the corner of Kapiolani Boulevard and Ward Avenue called the Symphony Honolulu. It will be a 3.35 acre mixed-use high rise development on property owned by JN Group, Inc. and Casti Family Limited Partnership. The developer will be OliverMcMillan Pacific Rim with Architects Hawaii as their architect.
The 400-foot tower will have 311 market price units and 96 reserved units. Although there are no floor plans or prices, there will be one, two, and three bedroom units with a total of 500,000 square feet. The commercial units will have an auto showroom, service facilities, offices, restaurants, and retails stores totaling 80,000 square feet. There will be 1,047 parking stalls for residents and commercial users. The traffic thoroughfare plan includes multiple access points off Kapiolani Boulevard, Ward Avenue, and Clayton Street.
The Symphony Honolulu will be a “Green Building,” designed with USGBC LEED certified criteria. There will be PV solar panels on the recreation deck and EV charging stations in the garage. They will also reclaim water from the AC units and use it to wash vehicles. For more information, contact Joyce Timpson at 537-4049.
