Are you opening a new location? Got a fundraiser you’d like to promote? If you do and would like to share it through our monthly newsletter, please contact  Sherry Goya for more information.

The KIA Membership Committee received approval from the Board to hold two networking events for members in 2012. As an added benefit of being a KIA member, besides the two General Membership Meetings in January and August, KIA will hold two networking events in April and October. These four events will bring members together, not only for updated information within Kakaako but to get to know each other so we may benefit from working with companies in Kakaako to keep the business in the area. Members are reminded that KIA is not a networking organization but one which keeps its members informed and abreast of what happens in Kakaako.

Other ideas to retain current and attract new members is to have the KIA website work for all. KIA members who have websites should check the KIA website, and if they would like to add their website address, please email to sgoyallc@aol.com and it will be added immediately. Likewise, if members would like to direct their website visitors to KIA’s website, feel free to add our website address or use the QR code which is on our monthly newsletter.

Any KIA member who would like to refer a potential member to KIA should email a contact name, company name and address to Sherry Goya, KIA Executive Director and she will mail a letter and our current directory to invite them to join KIA. Referrals are welcome throughout the year and membership is still $50 for a company with less than twenty employees or $100 for more than twenty employees.

The new email address for KCAA Muriel Pre-School is muriel@kcaapreschools.org.

Synergy Design’s new representative to KIA is Lester Yamamoto.
