Board Highlights

The 2016 KIA Renewal Form was emailed at the beginning of November to beat the holiday and year-end busy time and a BIG Mahalo goes out to 45 KIA members who have submitted their renewal.  KIA members who have joined after January will be renewing at their anniversary month.

The KIA Board has already secured dates for five events in 2016 for their members. All meetings, networking, and wine tasting events will be held in the Cupola Events Room of the Honolulu Design Center. Mark your calendars now for these dates and events, then be sure to read your monthly KIA newsletters for details:

KIA General Membership Meetings - Wednesdays, January 27 and August 31 at 11:30am (lunch provided to two attendees per membership)

KIA Networking Event - Wednesdays, May 25 and October 19 at 11:30am (BYO lunch)

KIA Blind Wine Tasting - Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 5:30 pm (cost TBA)

The Honolulu Design Center will be holding their “INspired Design” Complimentary Design & Lifestyle Workshops #7 on Saturday, November 21st from 11:30am to 4:30pm.  This is INspiration’s series of Lifestyle Workshops to inform you about the use and benefits of your computer; Improving your lifestyle with Resistance Training; Part II of Living & Loving 50+ Culture and the Design & Attributes of Quartz Surfaces in your home.  Click here to view flyer for more information.

Hon Graphics has renewed their 2016 membership with KIA and wanted everyone to know that they have moved to 832 Queen Street, with NEW phone and fax numbers (589-0300 phone and 589-2050 fax).

The University of Hawaiʻi John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) is seeking women on Oʻahu over the age of 18 to be a part of scientific advancement and contribute to the health of all women by taking part in a clinical trial involving a new birth control device.  Women will also receive free birth control and financial reimbursement for their time. Those interested in hearing more about this opportunity should contact via email (whrc@hawaii.edu), call or text (375-3785).  Participants will be reimbursed up to $400 for their time.
