The Ward Village Foundation gave the Children’s Discovery Center $50,000 for their Keiki Adventure Garden, which connects children to nature through outdoor play and activities. Loretta Yajima, Chair of the Board of Directors says, “The future of Hawaii is in the hands of our children. Our outdoor classroom will help children develop a strong sense of environmental stewardship and give them direct experiences with nature. This is vitally important for the future of our island state. As our neighbor in the Kaka’ako community, we are very grateful to the Ward Village Foundation for partnering with us to help shape the next generation of Hawaii’s leaders.”
