KIA Networking Event

The first KIA Networking Event for 2015 will be held on Wednesday, April 15th, from 11:30am in the Cupola Room on the second floor of the Honolulu Design Center (1250 Kapiolani Blvd).  This is a FREE event as all attendees will be bringing their own lunch and drink.

KIA holds this event twice a year for its members to get to know more about each other. RSVP’s are needed as the room is set up in advance with tables and chairs in a large square so everyone can see each other. All attendees will introduce themselves, explaining their business and what type of clients they are looking for. A second go around has attendees giving and receiving referrals for business. KIA members are encouraged to bring business cards, brochures, or any handouts to share with each other.

Deadline for RSVP is Monday, April 13th, to Sherry Goya, KIA Executive Director, at sgoyallc@aol.com or 722-8487.

KIA Community Event

The 4th Annual Kakaako Community Clean Up will be held on Saturday, April 18th from 8am to 11am, with refreshments and validated parking. All supplies and tools will be provided. It will start at Mother Waldron Park and end at Restaurant Row (South Street).

The Shidler Group (KIA member) has teamed up with the KIA, BOMA Hawaii, and T.A.G. Another partner, BOMA Hawaii, is requesting volunteers to bring a donation for Hawaii’s homeless for the Waianae Comprehensive Center. Let’s give back to those in need by donating food goods, hand can openers, socks, blankets, hygiene and toiletry items, rain ponchos, and gift certificates.

Remember that including something fun with your donation will help bring a smile to those in need. There will be a collection tent set up at the cleanup for your convenience. Click here for a PDF with more information.
