KIA’s Membership Chairman is Steve Sullivan of The Shidler Group.
  2. KIA Director Dexter Okada attended the February 9th HCDA Board Meeting. He reported that before their regular meeting, a presentation was made by Alii International Services which is looking to utilize the lot next to the AAFES building and Honda dealership, bordered by Ala Moana, Ahui, Koula and Ilalo Streets. They made application for an amusement park theme park with go-carts, zip line, climbing wall, port-a-potty, ferris wheel, skate park, etc. and would like to be up and running by May. The landowner, Kamehameha Schools, said the three acres would be an interim location. There will be a public hearing and then a vote next month. The noise level is supposed to be no greater than traffic on Ala Moana Blvd.
