The first networking event for KIA did not have a lot of participants; however, those who attended learned a lot, interacted with other members, and believed that it was well worth their time to attend. Just to give everyone a little insight of the event, please see a short summary of everyone's participation:

Working to make life easier with decluttering, Senior Move Managers/Declutter Hawaii has assisted many families moving to assisted living facilities, their children's home, or just decluttering to stay in place. They can help pack, move and unpack. Families are surprised at the things that are found (jewelry, money, gold bars, documentation, etc.) and are much appreciated. They can also do presentations to help downsize, declutter or move.

Diamond Parking is the oldest privately-owned parking company in the world. They have been in Hawaii since 1970, and own some property in Hawaii and the Mainland. Besides parking lots, they do valet, monitoring, and managing, with some right in Kakaako.

Hui Car Share is partnership between Servco Pacific and Toyota Connected, and represents the global pilot in shared mobility for Toyota. The platform will be released to the public this summer. A presentation was made at the August KIA General Membership Meeting. The service is fully app based, where users can reserve, unlock, and use the vehicles, all without a physical key. The initial fleet will include Prius, Prius Prime, Camry XSE, and Lexus RX vehicles. Pricing includes insurance, gas, taxes, roadside assistance, and call center, and starts at $9.95 per hour or $79.95 a day.
